Today was my last day trekking for a while, and this is possibly my last vlog post. I'll be doing video reviews of my gear once I have editing software, but for now I'm headed down to Wanaka for work. Kind of fitting that I saw Mount Doom on my last day. Thanks to everyone who made this a great trip, from friends I made here, to sponsors fir the gear, and my family and friends back home for their support

Tempted to play a prank but sadly didn't. Just flew to Wellington.
Took a bus to Christchurch, and who was on the bus when I got on? Patrick! First time I've seen him in a while
Cleaned up today. Went to the barber, bought clothes, and got a tattoo. The trek is winding down.
I had intended to get a haircut today, but pretty much everything in Invercargill is closed on Sunday. So I spent another day at the hostel.
Colac Bay to Bluff! 84 kilometers, 19 hours and 36 minutes. Hardest thing I've ever done. My resolve was tested around hour 12, when someone pulled up and offered me a ride, out of pity. But I pushed through, and arrives around 6 the morning of the 28th. I then proceeded to sit down, eat a jar of umbrella, and pass out. One of the best parts of the hike was when I was given a hot cross bun. Best thing I've ever eaten. I also woke up for the Sunrise! Gorgeous.
Exited the forest for the final time. I also found the third set of three. There was the three freedom camping mystics in Christchurch, the three drunk Czechs near Rose Hut, and now I can add the three latecomers. There is a set of three people who just started the TA northbound in Bluff two days ago. They're Gonna have a cold trip.
This was the first day since Queenstown that I actually felt in the TA again. No farmland, uneven forest tracks, muddy and wet: the whole TA experience. As we near the last leg, my pack is proving to be on its last leg as well. It just needs to hold out a few more days.
